Hackathon Rules & Regulations
Event Overview
- Duration: 6-hour intra-college hackathon .
- Venue: The Oxford College of Engineering .
- Eligibility: Open to all departments and all semesters .
- Domain: Participants are free to choose their desired domain .
- Problem Statements: Will be given on the spot .
Team Requirements
- Team Size: 2–4 members
- Physical Presence: All members must be physically present during the 6-hour
hackathon .
- Registration: Must register before the deadline. Late entries will not be
accepted .
- Team Changes: No changes to team composition after registration .
Equipment & Infrastructure
- Laptops: Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, and essential
devices .
- Extension Box: Each team must compulsorily carry an extension box .
- Internet: Wi-Fi will not be provided. Participants must arrange their own
internet if required .
- Seating: Basic seating arrangements will be provided; participants must
manage their own additional needs .
Rules & Regulations
- Originality: Original ideas only — plagiarism, reused code, or pre-built
projects lead to immediate disqualification .
- Submission Deadline: Teams must submit their prototype/code strictly within
the 6-hour deadline .
- Discipline: Teams must maintain discipline and cleanliness inside the venue .
- Misconduct: Any misconduct, malpractice, or violation of rules will result
in direct disqualification .
- Final Authority: Judges' and organizers' decisions will be final and
binding .
Ideathon Rules & Regulations
Event Overview
- Venue: The Oxford College of Engineering (Intra-College Event) .
- Eligibility: Open to all departments and all semesters .
- Team Size: 2–4 members per team .
Registration Requirements
- Problem Statement Submission: Each team must submit their chosen problem
statement at the time of registration .
- Problem Statement Options: Teams may either choose from the provided list or
propose their own (subject to approval) .
- Approval: Only approved problem statements will be allowed to compete on the
event day .
- Registration Deadline: Teams must register before the deadline with complete
member details and final problem statement .
- No Changes: No changes in team members or problem statements after
registration

their solution to a panel of judges .
- Judging Criteria: Creativity, feasibility, clarity, impact, and presentation

required development tools or resources .

- Originality: Ideas must be original; plagiarism or reuse of existing solutions
leads to immediate disqualification .
- Discipline: Teams must maintain discipline and cleanliness within the venue .
- Misconduct: Any form of misconduct or rule violation will result in
disqualification .
- Submission Deadline: All submissions (presentation/concept note/prototype
details) must be submitted within the specified time limit .
- Final Authority: Decisions of the judges and organizers are final and binding .
- Modifications: Organizers reserve the right to modify rules, schedules, or
procedures if necessary .

Buildathon Rules & Regulations
Event Overview
- Venue: The Oxford College of Engineering (Intra-College Event) .
- Eligibility: Open to all departments and all semesters .
- Tracks: BUILDATHON features two tracks - TOYATHON and PRODSPRINT .
- TOYATHON: Build creative toy prototypes using technology, blending innovation,
engineering and user-centric design .
- PRODSPRINT: Convert concepts into working prototypes through hands-on
development and rapid iteration .
- Track Selection: Participants may choose to compete in TOYATHON, PRODSPRINT, or
both .
Event Format
- Participation: Individual or team-based (2–4 members per team) .
- Track Selection: Each team must select their track(s) during registration .
- Development: Develop your prototype within the given timeframe .
- Demonstration: Demonstrate your prototype and its functionality to the judges .
- Evaluation Criteria: Projects will be evaluated on creativity, technical
implementation, feasibility and user engagement .
- Guidelines: Detailed guidelines, themes and resource instructions will be
provided at the event .
Rules & Regulations
- Registration: Participants must register with accurate and complete member
details and give brief description about their idea in registration form .
- Originality: All code, designs and prototypes must be original and created
during the preparation time (6-9 Dec) .
- Plagiarism: Plagiarism, reuse of previously built projects or pre-existing
substantial work is strictly prohibited .
- Mentorship: Mentors will be available for conceptual guidance only; direct
assistance in development is not allowed .
- Equipment: Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, tools and
required development resources .
- Safety: All prototypes, especially those in TOYATHON, must be safe and
appropriate for the intended audience .
- Discipline: Teams must maintain discipline and cleanliness at the venue .
- Misconduct: Any misconduct or violation of rules will result in
disqualification
- Submission: All submissions must be completed within the allotted timeframe
- Final Authority: Judges' decisions will be final and binding
- Modifications: Organizers reserve the right to modify rules, timelines or event
structure if necessary
